I have the same experience as you: most arguments could be solved if we could just agree on what words mean. If we all had common objective definitions we could really see where the lines are drawn and there wouldn't be half as many world-views.

Then, we'd have a bunch of people who differ mainly in their experience. Calvinists would basically be people who see God as a wrathful magician, Liberals those who see God as a distant, congenial, grandfather.

One of the results of arguing a lot (which I do) is that you get tired of warring with words. Thanks be to God that his new covenant is of the Spirit, cancelling the written code!
